Company history
GrEco Hiking was founded by the Greek-American citizen Yannis Athanasiou He has previously worked as a manager for financial services corporations in the United States, Canada and Greece. Before founding GrEco Hiking, Yannis has gathered an international 30+years of experiences hiking and organizing trips around the globe. Amazing destinations like the Rocky Mountains, Patagonia, Alps, Dolomites. N. Africa, N. Zealand, and Caucasus are his favorable.
Yannis has collaborated with the top outdoor-activities tour operators. While training for an international mountain leader certification, he has met the Creme de la Creme of Mountain Guides and Leaders and has created extensive friendships and professional relationships with them. These are the same people who are now the most vital asset, the soul of GrEco Hiking. These are the people you can trust to take you with as much safety a hiker may have on a harsh mountain environment to your dream hiking destination.
